Hello!!! I thought for a new blog why not have one that my husband & I could do together. Of course he wasn't the most thrilled about doing it as he really doesn't have a clue about computers, but maybe doing this will get him interested in them.
We have been married for 7 years now and are blessed with two busy kids! Kevin who is 4 and Katie who is 2. Paul works full time while I am doing the job I always wanted to do and that's being a stay at home mom.
Paul LOVES to hunt & fish. I swear that's he loves that more than spending time with his family since he saves all his vacation and sick time for the months of October & November so he can deer hunt. Of course he spends so much time out there trying to get the biggest deer because so far I have the record in our house! *giggle*
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy our blog!!
Does your little one like running around naked like mine? If so, then maybe you should enter the contest like I did to Win 20 Pairs of Baby Leg Warmers from babySNAZZ! The contest is open until November 30th!
If you don’t want to wait that long to see if you won, they are also having some great sales on them as well! The only problem I see with them is trying to figure out which pair to buy as they are all so cute!
It’s a free monthly publication that I have always found at the local libraries, and is suppose to be distributed all over in West Michigan. In case you do have a harder time finding it, they also have the option of ordering a 12 month subscription for only $24!
Inside Cats & Dogs you will find a little bit of everything. Every month they have….. Ask the Trainer, Ask the Vet, Cat Corner, Calender of Events, Carol’s Ferals, Our Readers Write, Life with Sally, Community Resource Guide and in Memory. On top of that they have featured articles and advertising of local area pet stores, shelters, animal products, etc.
I can promise you, if you are animal lover, once you read it you will always be looking forward to the next month issue. If you would like to read more about Cats and Dogs or would like to see this month or last months issue, you can visit them at their website http://catsanddogsmagazine.com/.
Be careful little eyes what you see
It’s the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it’s the little feet behind you that are sure to follow
It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It’s a slow fade, it’s a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you’re thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It’s a slow fade when you give yourself away
It’s a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
In case you are in East Michigan during deer widowers weekend (which is this weekend as gun season opened today) then you should hunt out the deals at Prime Outletsin Birch Run, Michigan!! (by Frankenmuth)
Pre kids, my girlfriend and I would head over for a girls weekend of shopping. (I guess the old saying was true.. while the cats were gone, the mice would play!) Going there always helped me get into the Christmas spirit due to driving over to Frankenmuth, MI where the town would always be decked out in Christmas lights thanks to Bronner’s (The worlds largest Christmas store) being located there.
Someday I hope to make it back there for deer widowers weekend. Now that the kids are old enough I’ll just have to wait for the weekend where deer opener starts in the middle of the week instead so it won’t be as big of a deal to leave the kids home with Paul.
The 2008 Craftsman Truck Series winner…. Johnny Benson!!!
I just wanted to congratulate Johnny Benson and the #23 crew on a great season!! It’s always fun to see a west Michigan native do something great like winning the Craftsman Truck Series! Way to go Johnny!!
I recommend watching the whole thing. Not only the video, but Steven Curtis Chapman talking afterwards about how he ended up writing this song. It really makes you think twice about things. All I know is I’m off to go play with my kids now!
I was on the way home with my kids this week from my parents house when I started flipping and ended up finding that one of our local radio stations was already playing Christmas music 24/7! Of course I really don’t mind all that much, especially late at night when I’m hoping the kids fall asleep in the car as it tend to relax them where they do fall asleep, but parts of me thinks it’s a little on the early side to be playing Christmas music.
Our stores had their Christmas stuff out before Halloween was even here, but now that Halloween is over that’s all you see. You don’t see anything for Thanksgiving or fall anymore, it’s all Christmas Tree, lights, Santa.. etc.
Do you feel it’s to early to be having Christmas stuff out? Or does seeing it relax you and make you feel like buying your Christmas presents already? I know they say ratings go up with they play Christmas music and I’m sure stores make more money once this season hits, but will having the Christmas stuff out longer make people buy more than what they were going to or will people be sick of Christmas before Christmas even comes? What’s your thought on it?
If you’ve never seen Aloha Friday then here is the run down from Island Life….
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought on Fridays I would take it easy on posting too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you would like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave the link below. Don’t forget to visit the other participates! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!
Now on to my question of the week:
When you sleep, do you have a fan or other white noise going?
When I was growing up I always had my radio going. Then I ended up quitting that and never used anything until I got married. Paul always needs a fan going so we tend to have that running, but when he isn’t home (gone on his hunting trip) I sometimes still use it out of habit, but can sleep without it.
