SkyZone Trampoline Park
Over Christmas break, we spent an afternoon at SkyZone near Woodland Mall in Kentwood, MI, and it was the perfect way for the kids to burn off some holiday energy! With endless activities and options for all ages, SkyZone has something for everyone who loves jumping, climbing, and exploring. Here’s a full recap of our visit, plus tips to make your trip just as fun.
Overview
Location: Near Woodland Mall, 3636 29th St SE, Kentwood, MI 49512
Duration: 90 Minutes
Age Level: 5+
Note: Younger kids can enjoy SkyZone too! My 4-year-old has been going to trampoline parks since age 2 and loves them, but I know some preschoolers might find it overwhelming.
Personal Experience and Thoughts
My kids love SkyZone, and this trip didn’t disappoint! We opted for the 90-minute pass, which was plenty of time for them to explore and enjoy all the activities. If you think you’ll stay longer, you can upgrade to an all-day pass for just a couple of dollars more.
One of the highlights of this visit was the new Little Ninjas course for kids under 7. My kids spent a lot of time here, climbing and crawling through the obstacles—it was a hit!
Other favorites included:
Zipline – A thrilling activity for adventurous kids.
Large Ninja Course – Perfect for older kids.
Foam Pits – Always a favorite for flipping and jumping in.
Giant Slides – For kids 5+, these slides were a big hit.
Rock Wall and Trampolines – A classic activity that never gets old!
SkyZone has such a variety of activities that it caters to different interests and age levels. It’s a great way to expend extra energy and keep kids entertained, especially on a cold winter day.
Practical Information and Pro Tips
Clothing:
Dress in comfy clothes that are good for running around in. Even in the winter, we opt for short-sleeve shirts.
You’re required to wear SkyZone branded grippy socks. If you bring your own grippy socks, they’ll exchange them for theirs at no additional cost, which is nice but can still feel a bit inconvenient.
Accessibility/Strollers:
While strollers aren’t necessary inside the facility, the seating area is spacious enough to accommodate families who need them.
Food and Drinks:
There’s an onsite café with food and drinks available for purchase. We brought our own water bottles and snacks, which worked great for us.
There are some tables for eating near the cafe too!
Bathrooms/Changing Rooms/Nursing Rooms:
Bathrooms are conveniently located near the entrance.
There weren’t specific nursing rooms that I noticed, and the facility is quite loud, so it might not be ideal for nursing little ones who get easily distracted.
Waiver:
You’ll need to fill out a waiver before jumping. If it’s been a while since your last visit, check to see if your waiver is still valid (they’re only good for one year).
Memberships:
If you plan to visit SkyZone more than once a month, consider their membership deal! For the price of a single 90-minute pass, you get daily access to a 90-minute pass, plus discounts on special events. It’s a great value for regular visitors.
Recap
SkyZone is a great spot for families looking for a fun indoor activity. Whether your kids are zipping across the room on a zipline, conquering ninja courses, or simply bouncing on the trampolines, there’s something to keep every age entertained.
With affordable pricing, lots of activities, and thoughtful membership options, SkyZone is a place we’ll definitely return to. If you’re in the Kentwood area, add it to your must-visit list for an exciting day out!
